Tricia Michaud
As the daughter of professional wrestler, King Louie Tillet, Tricia grew up all over the country before her father retired and their family settled down in the mountains of western North Carolina. At that point, her dad went from wrestler to chef, and Tricia entered the restaurant business at the ripe old age of 12. She spent her high school and college years working in the family’s fine dining establishment, Louie Michaud’s. Tricia learned both the front and back of the house through roles that included busing and waiting tables, hosting, food preparation, and the ordering of supplies.
After graduating second in her high school class, Tricia went on to attend Wake Forest University in Winston Salem where she became a member of Delta Delta Delta,, and graduated with her B.A. in 1994. As a way to help fund her college education, Tricia not only worked at her family’s restaurant over the summers, but also worked for a local real estate attorney as a clerk. This experience and the fact that her mother, a retired flight attendant, has been a successful real estate broker for well over 20 years, gave her early exposure to real estate transactions and the intricacies of closing deals.
Tricia then moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she then entered the field of Information Technology working for major organizations including Computer Sciences Corporation and ING Investment Management. At ING, Tricia was the Network Engineering Manager responsible for network and telecom infrastructure supporting 1800 users across 60 locations around the country. Tricia was then promoted to the New York Infrastructure Site Manager where she managed a team of 20 engineers responsible for delivery of all infrastructure services to the corporate headquarters located in New York City. Tricia relocated to NYC, where she and her husband lived near Gramercy Park and enjoyed their Manhattan lifestyle for three and half years.
After giving birth to their first son Wesley in 2007, Tricia and her husband moved back to Atlanta to be closer to their families. Tricia finished her career with ING as the Real Estate Account Manager where she was responsible for infrastructure service delivery to ING Real Estate throughout the US.
Shortly after leaving ING, Tricia and her husband moved permanently to her hometown of Highlands NC, and welcomed their second son Christopher in April of 2009. She pursued her real estate license and currently holds licenses in both North Carolina and Georgia. Tricia joined National Restaurant Brokers in 2009.
